You have a strong understanding of the business value of data and how it should be managed throughout its lifecycle, alongside our physical products, customers, locations, co-workers, vendors, and financial flows. You see the bigger picture while still being ready to roll up your sleeves when needed. You bring solid knowledge of modern data management methods, strategies, and technical tools. More importantly, you understand how the right data, at the right time, can support better decisions and make everyday work a little easier. For you, data is a true asset. Furthermore, you have:
• Strong ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders within the country and globally
• Strong ability to explain the benefits of data management to both non-technical and technical co-workers.
• Strong ability to take a full view of the target area and act from strategy and steering into operational reality and implementation
• Strong ability to thrive in complex organizations and collaborate successfully with a variety of stakeholders to drive transformational changes from mindset to ways of working
• Strong ability to understand the complexity of IKEA's business and the role of data as an integrated part of the business
Your responsibilities
The purpose of this job is to drive a cultural shift and foster cross-functional collaboration at both global and country levels to handle data as a business asset. To lead the creation of value with data in the countries by co-developing and implementing data management, governance, and literacy roadmaps. To coach co-workers to produce high-quality master, reference, and metadata efficiently, ensuring they meet internal and external requirements.
You will also:
• Drive organizational change to treat data as a shared business asset and foster a data culture and when applicable, lead, coach, and develop co-workers to secure people development, leadership, succession, and a high-performing team.
• Represent the country perspective in creating data strategies for Ingka and improve data management by applying Ingka’s data management policies, guidelines, and processes.
• Improve data literacy on a country level by implementing and localizing relevant initiatives and programs and by developing a local community dedicated to data.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance efficient handling of data, provide thought leadership, and support recruitment for data management roles.
• Drive prioritization of data management by integrating it into transformation projects and business operations, and by establishing metrics to track progress.
